I'm Allergic to WHEAT?!

Kamut Grass is a high-energy grain that is related to wheat, although it’s twice the size.  It contains 40% MORE PROTEIN than Wheat, is higher in lipids, has 65% MORE Amino Acids, AND is packed with more vitamins and minerals all the while being CHOLESTEROL FREE. If that sounds good, you should know this. Since Kamut has a lower oxidation level, once the flour is ground there is LESS NUTRITIONAL LOSS between the grinding and processing.  The MAJORITY of people who are allergic to wheat have NO reactions to Kamut.  Also, due to it’s low glycemic index, Kamut can serve as an alternative to wheat for people suffering from diabetes.

1 cup of kamut cooked contains 10 grams of protein and 7.4 grams of fiber.  And, each serving of kamut contains the ENTIRE daily-recommended Manganese intake for women, and 78% for men, as well as your entire daily Selenium requirement.  These two minerals serve as antioxidants, protecting the body from Free Radicals.  They also balance hormones. Manganese helps you synthesize sex hormones while selenium supports the production of thyroid hormones.

Kamut also contains zinc, which benefits your immune system and promotes healthy thyroid function, (40% men’s daily intake, 29% women’s.),  and Magnesium which strengthens bone tissue and activates enzymes so your cells continue to function properly (20% men and 26% women’s daily intake.)

I’m barely scratching the surface here on how great Kamut Grass is.   It sounds to me that ANYONE suffering from wheat allergies (which seems to be becoming quite an issue, or quite a fad, you be the judge), should consider incorporating Kamut into their diet.

I know one amazing food that already has this SUPERFOOD included in it….. SHAKEOLOGY. J
