The Tasty Alternative to Fish Supplements

Sacha Inchi is a perennial plant that can be found in the Amazon Rainforest in Peru.  It bares seeds that have high protein, vitamin E, and oil content that is rich in the essential fatty acids Omega-3 (45%) and Omega-6 (36%), as well as non-essential Omega-9 (9%).

Raw seeds are inedible, but after roasting them makes them quite tasty.

Sacha Inchi is one of the “Superfoods” because of it’s High content of essential fatty acids, and the oil is used in vegetarian diets to provide a plant source for Omega-3 Fatty acids.    Meats such as Beef, Chicken, etc are high in Omega-6, while we rely on Fish for Omega-3.

What can Omega-3 fatty acids do for me?

HEALTHIER BRAIN - Omega-3s tame inflammation.  Since inflammation is the root of most disease it is important to keep it in check.   In fact, a deficiency of omega-3s can trigger mental illness, depression, and lack of clarity.  When omega-3s are introduced to the diet, these issues are reversed.  When inflammation in the brain is reduced, mood and mental health improves.

PROTECTION FROM HEART DISEASE AND STROKE

HEALTHIER BONES - Omega-3s help the body to absorb calcium.

PROTECTION AGAINST CANCER – These bad boys even help reduce cancer risk.  In clinical trials, omega-3s were shown to protect BREAST and PROSTATE Cells from mutation.  For those who added omega-3s to their diet, biochemical protectors INCREASED FOURTY PERCENT compared to those who did not supplement.

We need Omega-3s for normal body functions, such as controlling blood clotting and building cell membranes in the brain, and since our bodies cannot make Omega-3 fats, we must get them through food.

But THAT’S NOT ALL!

This SUPERFOOD (Sacha Inchi) also: Eases Joint Pain, Prevents premature aging, Supports balanced glucose levels, Improves vision and eye health, Encourages healthy skin, hair, and nails, Promotes cardiovascular well-being, Curbs free Radical Damage, Reduces Cholesterol, and aids in diabetes management.

AND

Sacha Inchi is unusually high in tryptophan, an important ‘feel good’ neurotransmitter. This amino acid is essential to the production of serotonin, a chemical involved in regulating appetite.

The oil can be used in cooking in place of olive oil.  It’s said to be lighter, better tasting, and easier for the body to absorb.  I am blown away by what I’ve learned bout Sacha Inchi and Omega-3s today.  If your diet doesn’t include Omega-3s, it’s time to ADD ADD ADD.

But I can't forget to mention that Sacha Inchi can be found in your daily dose of SHAKEOLOGY! So get to shaking!
